A cyclist sustained leg injuries after being struck and run over by a car at the intersection of Pearl and Folsom streets in Boulder on Saturday afternoon.
Sgt. Robyn VanDerLeest said the cyclist's injuries do not appear to be life-threatening, but she was temporarily pinned beneath the car.
VanDerLeest said the crash happened shortly before 5 p.m. Saturday when the woman, who was at the westbound turn lane on Folsom, was struck as she turned onto Pearl. The driver was also in the turn lane and apparently did not see the woman.
She said police cited the driver for careless driving resulting in injury, and are submitting his information to the state Division of Motor Vehicles so he can undergo another test to see whether he keeps his license.
