A 35-year-old Louisville man died early Thursday morning after a one-vehicle rollover on U.S. 36.

Broomfield police responded to the crash about 4:20 a.m., police spokesman Sgt. Steve Griebel said. The crash occurred near the 1stBank Center between 121st Avenue and Wadsworth/Church Ranch Boulevard.

There was only one occupant in the vehicle, Griebel said.

"The cause is under investigation, but it was snowing at the time," he said.

Broomfield police put the city on accident alert at 4:45 a.m. and closed down several lanes of traffic while they investigated the crash.

At 10:35 a.m. they opened the U.S. 36 lanes.

If motorists are involved in a crash where there are no injuries, and alcohol is not involved, police ask drivers to exchange driver and insurance information, and make a report with the police department within the next few days.
