We are a group that likes to laugh. And no, this isn't fueled by pot or the right amount of alcohol before the juice turns and you're crying on the toilet. We're just funny people ... to ourselves.

Don't judge us. This is how the mid-20s do.

But since we aren't all friends, nor would you be nearly as amused at the number 69, or John Mayer lyrics or speaking only in movie quotes, I've got a real comedian all lined up for you.

Hippieman is performing at The Dairy Center for the Arts (25990 Walnut St.) this Thursday at 8 p.m. And here's what he pitches the show to be:

"Ever wonder what America would be like if ran by a Hippie?"

A Boulder native, Hippieman tours nationally now and is good for an ab workout with his "Plan for America." Just head to for tickets and more info.

Of course, it's not all fun and games. Sometimes it's lots of beer while enjoying fun and/or games. And Boulder Beer (2880 Wilderness Place) has plenty of it this weekend.

The folks at Boulder Beer want you to come by and watch the Rockies's home opener at 2:10 p.m. Friday, and enjoy a beer, brat and fries for $7.99. Yum.

(Yea, I get it, it already hasn't been easy to watch, but if we can support our college football teams and a less-than-ideal Super Bowl performance, us Coloradans can cheer on our baseball team.)

It's also National Grilled Cheese Month (sure?). So each Friday, Boulder Beer be serving up a twist on the sandwich to help soak up the hops. (This Friday, it's pesto and tomato on sourdough.)

But wait! As of this weekend, Boulder Beer's Pub will now be open until 10 p.m. on Saturdays, which just means more time to enjoy their lineup.

You know what might be just the ticket for your Friday night, though? Relaxing with a movie.

Like "Inside Llewyn Davis." For free. Right there on campus. This Friday night, Program Council are screening the film at CHEM 140, with a first-come, first-serve basis, and free popcorn to those of you who do come.

As Spring Break ends, Absinthe House (1109 Walnut St.) employees still have something for you to be happy about — the return of their rooftop season. So Tuesdays through Sundays, enjoy live DJs over the weekend, craft beers and a view of the Flatirons that's oh-so superb.

Support even more Buffs at The Dairy Center, where the University of Colorado Dance Team will be performing their spring showcase Friday at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday at 2:30 p.m. And yes, this is more than you see on the sidelines at CU games. It's everything from contemporary to tap, and worth a few hours. You can (still) grab tickets at

Also at West Flanders, a Thursday afternoon that'll benefit you and hundreds of others: "Brewed in Boulder" is basically a happy hour (from 4 to 7 p.m.) that will benefit the Local Food Shift group. So for every collaboration beer pint sold during the happy hour, West Flanders will donate $1 to the sustainable food sourcing efforts. StickerGiant will match that donation dollar for dollar.
