Georgia Gould -- who won a bronze medal in mountain biking at the London Olympics -- will kick off this year's Venus de Miles women's bike ride and be on hand to sign autographs and meet cyclists, organizers announced on Tuesday.

The Venus de Miles is a women's cycling event in Boulder County that supports Greenhouse Scholars, a local nonprofit.

This year's ride is open for registration through the week, including the day of the event. Organizers recommend arriving an hour before the start time for your event to register. (The 100-mile ride starts at 6:30 a.m.; 67-miler at 7; 51-miler at 7:30; 33-miler at 8.) Details and more registration info at
