T his weekend marks Community Cycle's seventh annual Kid's Holiday Bike Giveaway , which has a new home at Optibike at 3200 28th St., Boulder, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Each year the event aims to get kids ages 2 to 10 on bikes. They take in donations and have collected nearly 400 bikes this year, said development and advocacy director Sue Prant.

Community Cycles will also be giving out helmets, Prant said. They're still taking donations to sponsor a child's bike for $25, or a family's bikes for $100, which goes toward repairing and refurbishing donated bikes.

"We're really just excited about all the community support," Prant said.
