It's Halloween week, so here's some spooky reality news and fun.
Haunted reality TV
The Syfy Network's getting ready to air the new "Ghost Hunters" spinoff called "Ghost Hunters Academy." The show debuts on Nov. 11.
The reality program will feature investigative students checking out some very creepy scenarios. Yes, this crew will be hitting the "haunted hot spots" in the U.S. with ghost hunters Steve Gonslaves and Dave Tango.
The students already are slated to look for spooks at a haunted jail in Pennsylvania and a lighthouse in Florida. If the junior investigators measure up, they'll be able to move onto the real "Ghost Hunters" show.
Fans of scary reality TV also can tune into A&E's "Paranormal State."
That show airs every Monday and features a team of investigators that check out unexplained phenomenon. If you like ghosts, demons and things that go bump in the night, you'll be in reality heaven -- or hell -- with this program.
Live-in host from hell
Be scared. Be very scared.
Uber-exercise trainer Jillian Michaels has been torturing contestants on "The Biggest Loser" -- and now she's ready to come to your door!
Michaels will host the health and exercise show "Losing it with Jillian" next year on NBC. Each week, the exercise maniac will move in with a different family and convince them to lose their bad health habits.
That's gotta be a post-Halloween nightmare.
Halloween bytes
Here are some made-up reality shows titles that would fit perfectly with Halloween week:
"The Attack of the Skeleton People": The contestants on "America's Next Top Model" could all apply for this reality show. Can someone feed these girls a sandwich?
"The Man Who's Career Wouldn't Die": Bret Michaels could definitely host a reality show featuring this name. The "Rock of Love" star keeps re-inventing himself and now he's on the new "Celebrity Apprentice."
"The Balloon-Flying Aliens": Colorado's attention seeking Heene family (Balloon Boy's parents) have probably copyrighted this reality name and already filmed the show.
"Top Chef: Transylvania": It would be interesting to see what the top-name chefs could cook up for Halloween. Ghoulash anyone?
"Survivor: Hell": This version of the reality show would bring back all the crazed "Survivor" contestants like Richard Hatch, Jonny Fairplay and Coach -- and pit them against each other.
Wait a minute, isn't that already called "Survivor All-Stars?"
