Reality TV's getting a shot in the arm for 2010, and several well-known celebrities are jumping on the bandwagon.
Is reality TV ready for Jerry Seinfeld, Kirstie Alley, the Jackson family -- and more Kathy Griffin?
Jerry Seinfeld
Comedian Jerry Seinfeld's ready to make a leap to reality TV in 2010.
The well-known comic dreamed up a new reality show called "The Marriage Ref." The program was picked up by NBC and it starts taping in January.
The show will feature disgruntled spouses airing their grievances to a panel of celebrities. Comedian Tom Papa was just asked to host this epic.
No word on the celeb judges, but marriage counseling may never be the same.
Kathy Griffin
Kathy Griffin is definitely moving her way up from the D-list
The outspoken comedian's already won awards for her very funny "My Life on the D-List," but that wasn't enough.
Griffin was just named the host of ABC's new reality series "Let's Dance," and the show makes it network debut on Nov. 23.
"Let's Dance" will shine a comedic light on dance shows. The program will feature celebrities "attempting" to re-create famous dance moves from movies, musicals and pop videos.
Someone's going to be laughing all the way to the emergency room.
Kirstie Alley
Former "Cheers" star Kirstie Alley loves being on reality TV, so the actress just inked another deal.
The A&E Network just signed Alley to star in a docu-series based on her life. The show will cover her attempts to lose weight and juggle life as a single mom.
The series is set for 2010.
The Jacksons
It's only months after Michael Jackson's death, but the Jackson clan decided it was time to parlay their 15 minutes of fame to reality TV.
A&E's taking another leap into reality TV world with "The Jackson's: A Family Dynasty." The program makes it debut on Dec. 13.
The show will depict Jackson brothers Jermaine, Marlon, Jackie and Tito as they deal with the aftermath of their brother's death. The reality series will also feature the siblings rehearsing for the Jackson 5's 40th anniversary concert.
Nothing says family like capitalizing on the death of a famous sibling.
