Boulder chef Michael DeBoer's The French Twist food truck will be featured on a Food Network pilot program "Food Truck Fan Fight" at 9 p.m. tonight and at midnight Friday night heading into Saturday morning.

DeBoer, a 1986 Fairview High School graduate, will put his "fine food with a French flair," as described by The French Twist's website, up against the cuisines of four other Denver-area food trucks for the competition show.

Competitive cooking was a new experience for DeBoer when the show was filmed.

"Cooking has always been a team-building experience for me. I've never wanted to kick the ass of the person cooking next to me," DeBoer said in a news release announcing the program.

"Food Truck Fan Fight" is produced by Denver-based Plebian Pictures.

DeBoer owns and operates The French Twist with his wife Lori DeBoer and his teenage stepson Max Pfeiffer.

The French Twist is open all winter and will be serving at the SchoolYard Cross cyclocross race from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Dawson School, 10455 Dawson Drive, Lafayette; and from 4 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Odd13 Brewing, 301 E. Simpson St., Lafayette, and again at Odd13 Brewing from 12:30 to 8 p.m. Sunday.
