University of Colorado senior Will Oliver was named to the 2014 Lou Groza Collegiate Place-Kicker Award watch list on Wednesday morning.
Oliver is one of 30 kickers on the preseason list released by the Palm Beach County Sports Commission. He was among the 20 semifinalists for the award last year after hitting 17 of 24 field goals and all 30 of his PATs during the 2013 season.
Heading into his final season with the Buffs, Oliver ranks eighth in scoring, including fourth in kick scoring, with 189 points, and also ranks fourth in both field goals (34) and field goals attempted (48) for the Buffs.
Oliver, who has been the Buffs' kicker since his freshman year, has hit 60 consecutive PATs and needs seven more for the CU record. He hasn't missed a PAT since the final game of his freshman season and is the first player in school history not to miss a PAT in multiple seasons.
