Boulder's Christine Jennings won the 10-kilometer race at the U.S. open water national championships Friday at Lower Castaic Lake north of Los Angeles.

Jennings finished in two hours, two minutes and 14 seconds. With the win, Jennings earned a berth at world championships this summer in Barcelona, Spain.

Jennings, 26, graduated from Niwot High School before going on to swim for the University of Minnesota. She currently trains with coach Grant Holicky in Boulder.
