Jamie Dornan is reportedly a leading candidate to replace Charlie Hunnam in the “Fifty Shades of Grey” film.
What they mean is, he and I are neck-and-neck.
E! News reports the Irish actor tops the list of actors eyed to portray the coveted role of Christian Grey. And by “coveted,” they mean by actors most people haven't heard of.
“He (Dornan) had a really good read today,” a source told E! News on Sunday.
That casts some questions right there. No one in Hollywood works on Sundays, because they're all at church.
The source also said the studio isn't too concerned about the male lead's chemistry with Dakota Johnson, who will play the female lead, Anastasia Steele.
That's really hard to believe. A writer actually named a character “Anastasia Steele?”
“The studio isn't worried about Dakota,” the source said. “They think she could handle whoever the guy is.”
Dornan plays Sheriff Graham Humbert in the ABC series “Once Upon a Time.”
Other names that have been churning through the rumor mill since Hunnam's departure include Matt Bomer, Ian Somerhalder, Francois Arnaud, Billy Magnussen, Luke Bracey, Christian Cooke, and Scott Eastwood.
