Receiver Paul Richardson, who injured his ankle Saturday against Arizona, is improving, but is still listed as day-to-day heading into Saturday's game at UCLA.
"From everything (head trainer Miguel Rueda) tells me, (Richardson) is feeling a lot better than he was yesterday and I talked to him and he said, 'I'm feeling better than I was yesterday,'" CU coach Mike MacIntyre said. "I know he wants to play Saturday at UCLA in the Rose Bowl back at home. Hopefully he'll be able to go because we definitely need him. If P-Rich can go full speed, I know he'll go."
Tailback Michael Adkins is also day-to-day after suffering a concussion Saturday.
This week was the first week MacIntyre gave the team the day off Sunday, at least from practice. He said the team instead gathered to watch the entire Arizona game from Saturday, watch UCLA film for 45 minutes and then lift weights. ... MacIntyre said he has been pleased with the progress defensive lineman Samson Kafovalu has made in recent weeks. Kafovalu returned to the field last Saturday after missing four games for violating various team rules. "He has to come by and see me every day and we talk every day and those are neat moments, they really are, for me," MacIntyre said. "He's turned the corner and I hope he keeps turning the corner. I just love his energy that he brings."
