Eldora Mountain Resort is once again offering senior alpine passes as part of its selection of spring ski passes after hearing from customers who wanted to buy them, officials at the Boulder County resort said Wednesday.

When Eldora's spring passes went on sale March 3, the resort did not offer a senior pass. But this week, Eldora restored the $249 senior passes for those 65 and older.

Like the rest of Eldora's spring passes, the senior passes are good for the remainder of the current season as well as the 2014-2015 season. The passes are alpine-only, as Eldora is now separating its alpine and Nordic passes.

"It was in response to the customers speaking up about it," spokesman Rob Linde said. "People have asked and we've put it back on the website."

Linde said the resort initially wanted to push its $269 Adult Super Value Pass and typically doesn't see strong sales of the senior pass in the spring.

"Since we sold very few senior passes in the springtime we thought there wasn't a need to have it," Linde said. "We were trying to focus in on the premium passes."

Linde said the plan always was to bring the senior passes back in the fall.

"It certainly will be available again in the fall," Linde said.
