Broncos quarterback Trevor Siemian injured his shoulder on a first-quarter sack by Colts linebacker Barkevious Mingo.
Trevor Siemian‘s season is over.
An MRI taken in Colorado on Friday confirmed that Siemian suffered sublaxation, or a partial dislocation, of his left (non-throwing) shoulder - the same one he had surgically repaired - and will be placed on season-ending injured reserve.
Siemian landed on his shoulder during a first-quarter sack by Colts linebacker Barkevious Mingo, and after a quick examination on the bench, Siemian was carted back to the locker room for further testing.

Broncos QB Trevor Siemian latest to feel the pain of playing football on Thursday night
"I don't even know how to tank." Broncos scoff at idea of maneuvering for better draft pick.
Brock Osweiler took over and guided the Broncos to four scoring drives for a 25-13 comeback victory at Indianapolis. He finished 12-of-17 in passing for 194 yards, two passing touchdowns, a rushing touchdown, zero interceptions and a 147.7 rating in what was arguably the finest showing of his career.
Because of injury and performance, the Broncos rotated starting quarterbacks three times this season, with all three players taking a turn as the backup and as the inactive quarterback on game days. Siemian's latest injury leaves the team with one fully healthy quarterback on the roster in Osweiler and facing a fourth rotation for the starting job.
Paxton Lynch, the Broncos' first-round pick in 2016, sprained his ankle in a loss to the Raiders in Oakland, his lone start of the season, and he has been inactive the past three games. Lynch is expected to be cleared by Sunday and return to practice in full next week.
Despite their thin quarterback corps, Joseph said the team "probably won't" add a third quarterback to the roster to carry them through the final two games of the season. On Monday, he will confer with his staff to decide on the next starter between the two.
Siemian suffered an AC joint sprain in his left shoulder early last season as well, but finished out the year and underwent corrective surgery in January. Since the start of 2016, he has dealt with injuries to both shoulders and also suffered a foot injury that sidelined him for one game.
Though he won the starting job in August after a second-consecutive offseason competition and guided Denver to a 3-1 start, Siemian was benched after four straight losses. Osweiler took over for three games, but was benched, too. Lynch got his turn, but his one day as the starter ended early with the ankle injury. Siemian closed out the loss at Oakland a regained the starting role.
Now either Osweiler or Lynch will get a second chance as the Broncos' carousel continues to spin.
