Boulder police say a man witnesses spotted looking into a sorority house Friday night matched the description of a peeping Tom suspect they have been seeking.

The suspect was spotted peering into the windows of the Pi Beta Phi sorority house from the roof of a neighboring building in the 800 block of 11th Street, according to Sgt. Jim Byfield of the Boulder Police Department. The neighbors called the house mother, who notified police.

An officer saw the suspect coming down from the roof and chased him on foot but was unable to catch him.

Witnesses described the suspect as a white man wearing a gray sweatshirt, which matches surveillance photos of a peeping Tom suspect police were investigating for peeping in houses along Marine Street over the last few months. Police also believe the suspect peered into houses in the 1000 block of 11th Street.
