A Thornton man who pleaded guilty to physically harassing a flight attendant in April was sentenced in federal court Monday.

Evan Nathaniel Castle, 24, was sentenced to two years of probation and ordered to attend alcohol counseling after becoming intoxicated on a Spirit Airlines flight en route from Las Vegas to Denver International Airport, according to a Tuesday news release from Jeff Dorschner, spokesman for the U.S. Attorney's Office in Colorado.

Once drunk, Castle became loud and used profane language before he physically harassed a flight attendant by grabbing her buttocks, Dorschner said.

The case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, according to the release.
