The National Weather Service forecast a slight chance of rain and snow before noon Monday, with heavier snowfall expected in Boulder County overnight into Tuesday.
The prediction is for a 70 percent chance of 1 to 3 inches of snow during the day Monday, then a 90 percent chance of snow overnight, with another and six to 10 inches possible. Monday’s temperature is expected to rise to close to 45 degrees by 9 a.m. and then fall to around 30 degrees for the rest of the day. Overnight into Tuesday, the low is expected to be around 22 degrees.
There’s a 50 percent chance of light snow on Tuesday, mainly before noon. The cold also will continue, with a high near 36 degrees and an overnight low of 19 degrees. The weather is expected to warm up the rest of the week, with a high near 50 degrees Wednesday and highs in the 60s on Thursday and Friday
