The funeral service for Nathaniel Tallman, who was found shot to death in Wyoming earlier this month after disappearing in late January, will be held Wednesday morning in Lafayette.
The service for Tallman, 25, is at 10 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 715 Cabrini Drive, Lafayette, followed by inurnment at Coal Creek Memorial Cemetery, 1752 Highway 42, according to his obituary.
The body of Tallman was discovered March 13 along the side of a highway north of Lusk, Wyo., after he had been missing since Jan. 21.
Tallman graduated from Monarch High School in 2006 and attended Otero Community College and Aims Community College. He worked with his father in the family's greeting card and gift distribution business.
"Nate had many passions: family, friends, sports and music at Red Rocks," his obituary reads. "He loved the N.Y. Yankees, Green Bay Packers and the Florida State Seminoles. He loved his dogs Frosty, Aspen and Freda.
"His contagious smile, spirit, heart, talents and love for life will be missed."
The obituary said the Tallman family has asked that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Families of Homicide Victims and Missing Persons.
One man has been charged with murder and two others could be charged as early as Friday in connection with Tallman's death.
