The Boulder County Parks and Open Space Department will host a public meeting next week to present proposed plans for rebuilding parts of the Walden Ponds Wildlife Habitat area damaged during last September's floods.
The meeting will be at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, June 26, at the Boulder County Recycling Center, 1901 63rd St., Boulder.
Walden Ponds is on the south floodplain of Boulder Creek, about 1.5 miles northeast of Boulder, a half mile south of Jay Road and west of North 75th Street.
The presentation will include plans for repairing breaches in the waterways between the ponds and restoration of trails in the area. For more information, contact natural resources planner Jesse Rounds at 303-678-6271 or email@example.com.
