Broke and hungry Buffs: we're here for you.
The rigors of college have you in class and studying in the library all day with your stomach barking for food, but you don't have the money to take yourself out to a nice seafood dinner. We feel your pain. Your parents are already paying your tuition, so do them a favor and save some money.
With that said, there's no need to gorge on ramen and delicious Triscuit crackers. There are some cheap options, bargains and deals around town to fill your empty tummy. Here are five gems that won't bust your bank account:

So on your way out of campus, no need to mope -- stop by and quench your hunger with some cheap pizza. Disclaimer: this a hot deal and people around campus know about it, so beware of long lines.

If you're sitting at home in the wee hours of the morning with your friends and have no intention of leaving, D.P. Dough delivers and has a number of cheap deals, notably the 5-5-5 deal, which gets you three calzones for $5.55 each. The portions aren't humongous but will do enough to fill you up before bed.

Some people are picky about their Chinese food, but if you're looking to save some money, Golden Sun is your place. They offer a cheap 5-5-5 delivery deal -- three chicken entree meals for $5 each. The portions are substantial and for the price, it's hard to beat.
The entrees come with a couple large scoops of either white or fried rice and your choice of an egg roll or two crab and cheese wontons.

Tucked behind the McDonald's on Baseline, the Dark Horse has been a Boulder staple for years and doesn't disappoint with the food nor prices. Proof: The Dark Horse offers the "Starving Students Meal" from 3-8 p.m. everyday -- that's a burger, fries and a beer for only $6. The only hitch: if you're under 21, no beer for you, and get there before they start carding at 9:30 p.m.
If you're looking for extra incentive to head over to the Dark Horse on a Tuesday, Trike Night -- a tricycle race for of-age grown-ups -- runs from 9 p.m.-2 a.m.
