Search for Boulder architect enters second week

DENVER –

Renowned green architect Greg Franta of Boulder remains missing a week after he was last seen.

Franta, 58, who made the White House more eco-friendly during the Clinton years, was last seen about 1:30 a.m. last Monday in unincorporated Adams County, Boulder police say.

He is senior vice president of the Rocky Mountain Institute, a a non-profit that researches renewable energy, oil independence and alternative transportation. He was Colorado’s AIA architect of the year in 1998, and his designs of cities, buildings and campuses spans several continents.

What in the Sam Hell is on the top of Greg’s white car that is shown in the photo, a sofa??

Heck, I would remember that car.Why do architects always put sofas on the top of their cars? Very cool.

Why do I have to go to a Denver newspaper to read about a missing Boulderian?

I would think he might stand out among the regular clientele at The Players Club.Could he have been targeted because of his good grooming?

Pleasures Adult Entertainment Center is right next door. In the darkened lighting it’s hard to discern one’s pedigree.
