An 8-year-old girl from Scribner, Neb., was badly injured this morning while skiing with her family at Eldora Mountain Resort, according to the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies were called to the resort about 9:45 a.m. on a report that the girl lost control while on the Klondike trail. She veered off the trail and hit some trees, according to the Sheriff’s Office. She injured her legs, pelvis and shoulder, and officers said there could be internal damage as well.

The girl, who was wearing a helmet, was airlifted to Children’s Hospital in Denver, where she is being treated. Her condition isn’t known at this time.

How many people have had to have been flown out of Eldora in the last week?

That sucks…

I hope she recovers as quick as possible, and that this doesn’t keep her from going back up for a little winter fun.
