A dusting of snow could face morning work commuters today, but snow and slush are almost a certainty for the drive home, according to the National Weather Service office in Boulder.

Forecasters say there is a slight chance of snow in Denver before 9 a.m., but chances increase â up to 80 percent â by the afternoon, with accumulations up to six inches in parts of the metro region and eight inches in the foothills.

Snow is expected to continue into the evening, with another inch possible until midnight, according to the forecast.

Thursday is expected to be mostly sunny with a high near 50, followed by a high near 60 on Friday.
