BOULDER, Colo. –

Authorities say a 63-year-old woman visiting Colorado from Wisconsin has life-threatening injuries after a hiking accident.

Boulder County sheriff’s officials say she was reported to have been struck by falling rocks in the foothills west of Boulder. Rescuers found her unconscious Sunday around noon. She was flown by helicopter to a hospital in Denver.

Her name and hometown weren’t released.

The woman was visiting Colorado with her husband.
