LONGMONT, Colo. –
A pair of Longmont twenty-somethings were arrested Sunday on suspicion of purse napping after the duo allegedly used stolen “financial devices” to purchase pizzas all over town.
Vanessa Valdivia, 22, and Carlos Hernandez-Flores, 26, were both arrested on suspicion of “robbing an at-risk adult” for allegedly stealing a 92-year-old woman’s purse in January while she was loading items from her shopping cart into her car, which was parked in a handicap spot at 800 South Hover St.
The pair is also accused of robbing a 58-year-old woman in the same parking lot in February.
After the victims’ IDs and “financial devices” were used to buy pizzas, Domino’s, Pizza Hut and Black Jack Pizza banded together to help locate Valdivia and Hernandez-Flores, according to police reports.
Both suspects were still being held at the Boulder County jail Tuesday morning.
