BOULDER, Colo. –

Two Boulder County men have been arrested in separate cases involving allegations of sexual assault on children.

Edward Flodin, 34, of Superior, turned himself into the Boulder County Jail on Tuesday afternoon.

Boulder County sheriff’s Cmdr. Rick Brough said Flodin is accused of inappropriately touching a child. He said the case remains under investigation, and declined to release additional details.

Flodin was released from the jail Tuesday on a $7,500 bond.

In a separate case, Kenneth James Sutton, 18, of Longmont, was arrested Tuesday by sheriff’s deputies on a warrant alleging that he sexually assaulted a 5-year-old boy.

Longmont Cmdr. Tim Lewis said the alleged assaults occurred throughout 2008 until one of the boy’s family members called police last month.

Sutton was released from the Boulder County Jail after posting a $25,000 bond.

Both men face possible charges of sexual assault on a child by a person in a position of trust, a class-three felony punishable by four to 12 years in prison.

When I saw the headline, I knew at least one of them had to be from Longmont.

Why was Sutton’s bond so low? It is a disgrace that the justice system allows a repeat adult child molester to roam free. This mofo better watch his back ! I’m sure the parents of that poor kid are gunning for him…

Lesson learned: one instance of inappropriate touching is exactly the same criminal severity as regularly assaulting a 5-year old for a year.

What a great system we have!

You can’t be serious. They actually let these sick “individuals” out of jail on any amount of bail?? People that do this type of crime to innocent children are sick criminals and should not be allowed out of custody ever. Don’t you remember the Andrew Rigg case 7 years ago? The more they investigated, the sicker they found he was. He was sentenced to 80 years in prison without parole. Keep a close eye on your children. Pedophiles are sick and have no business out of jail for any reason.

Perhaps they can get a job with the Catholic church and the Nazi-Pope.

Good luck in prison, boys.I think it’s ironic that there are going to be people there that are bigger than you and want to touch you inappropriately.

If you’ve really done what you’re accused of, I don’t feel bad for you in the least.

It’s a list of police reports from around the country not a political opinion piece, no liberal bias credibility needed.
