BOULDER, Colo. –
Two Boulder County men have been arrested in separate cases involving allegations of sexual assault on children.
Edward Flodin, 34, of Superior, turned himself into the Boulder County Jail on Tuesday afternoon.
Boulder County sheriff’s Cmdr. Rick Brough said Flodin is accused of inappropriately touching a child. He said the case remains under investigation, and declined to release additional details.
Flodin was released from the jail Tuesday on a $7,500 bond.
In a separate case, Kenneth James Sutton, 18, of Longmont, was arrested Tuesday by sheriff’s deputies on a warrant alleging that he sexually assaulted a 5-year-old boy.
Longmont Cmdr. Tim Lewis said the alleged assaults occurred throughout 2008 until one of the boy’s family members called police last month.
Sutton was released from the Boulder County Jail after posting a $25,000 bond.
Both men face possible charges of sexual assault on a child by a person in a position of trust, a class-three felony punishable by four to 12 years in prison.
