We must have health care reform in this country if we want to avoid being aligned with the Third World when it comes to taking care of our citizens.
We need to have medical coverage for people who lose their jobs, as well as ensure continuing coverage for those who get sick.
As a musician, I have several jobs, none of which provide health insurance. My husband is soon to be laid off due to budget cuts from the state. If we stay in this country, we will be one of the tens of millions of Americans who are one illness away from total financial disaster.
