Hell’s Belles!

It’s been 10 years since the AC/DC tribute band Hell’s Belles played its first show, so the band’s celebrating the event with special anniversary shows.

On Friday night, the all-girl outfit plans to rock the Fox and celebrate the milestone with Colorado fans.

Hell’s Belles is one of the top AC/DC tribute bands hitting the road, and this group knows how to play and sing the blistering hot rock anthems to perfection.

Mandy Reed is Hell’s Belles’ bassist and an original member of the band. The musician’s thrilled to be celebrating the band’s 10th anniversary in Boulder.

“Playing AC/DC’s music has been a blast,” Reed said. “We get to play the greatest rock ‘n’ roll music ever — and the audiences always have a good time. This has been a dream job.

“AC/DC’s music is timeless. The original band still sells out arenas, and kids of all ages go to the shows. People still love this music!”

Hell’s Belles has made a steady paycheck from playing AC/DC tribute shows. There are lots of other AC/DC tribute acts out there, but Colorado is one of the band’s best markets.

That’s why Hell’s Belles wanted to really celebrate its 10th anniversary in style.

“It’s been a memorable 10 years,” Reed said. “The most exciting thing was actually getting to meet the members of AC/DC. It’s great to meet your heroes — and they’d heard about our band. That was very flattering.”

Hell’s Belles enjoys the memories, but the band also wants to give back to the fans.

“We’re going to do a lot of talking and sharing with the audience in Boulder,” Reed said. “We might also add a few goodies onto the set list, and maybe play some stuff that we haven’t performed in awhile. We also have a lot of new merchandise that will be available for the fans.

“We’re going to have our 10th anniversary party in Seattle on Saturday. That’s our hometown, so we’re really going to make it a party. 2010’s shaping up to be a good year — we might even have a trip overseas to Asia.”
