Bono performs onstage during the U2 360 opener at the Camp Nou stadium on June 30, 2009 in Barcelona, Spain.

U2’s June 12 concert at Denver’s Invesco Field at Mile High will be pushed to 2011 after the Irish band this morning announced it is postponing its entire North American tour this summer as singer Bono recovers from back surgery.

Local promoters have not made any announcements about the concert, but U2’s website reports new dates in 2011 will be announced soon, and ticketholders are encouraged to save their tickets.

U2’s 16-date summer tour of North America had been scheduled to start June 3 in Salt Lake City, but Bono underwent surgery last week after injuring his back during tour rehearsals in Europe.
