For those out there who don’t like burgers, it’s a damn shame.
(OK, fine vegetarians, vegans, etc., you’re off the hook.)
For all those burger snobs out there, a nice, big juicy, gourmet burger for a reasonable price can be hard to find.
Granted, a double cheeseburger from McDonald’s is only a buck, but it’s far from gourmet.
Here are some fabulous restaurants in town that serve up delicious burgers, ranging from cheap to fancy to just plain old tasty.
1 Mountain Sun

Hours: Food served from 11:30 a.m.-10 p.m. Monday-Wednesday, 11:30 a.m.-10 p.m. Thursday-Saturday and noon-9 p.m. Sunday
The Mountain Sun is not just famous for its delicious craft beers.
The juicy 1/3-pound burgers are pretty damn good and are made with all-natural, vegetarian-fed Colorado beef.
Try the Basil Blue Burger with blue cheese crumbles and basil blended into a dressing, then poured on the burger and garnished with a fresh basil leaf.
Or the famous Junk Burger with bacon, cheese, sautéed mushrooms and onions, roasted garlic mayo.
Just make sure to bring cash — credit cards aren’t accepted.
2 The Sink
Where: 1165 13th St., Boulder; 303-444-7465
Hours: Food served from 11 a.m.-10 p.m.
The Sink boasts it’s a “Boulder burger institution,” and being around since 1923, it sure is.
With more than 10 burger choices, the meat is made with Colorado-raised, 100-percent grass-fed beef. The famous Sink burger is a must-have — a grilled all-natural burger, served with Sink hickory sauce.
Always a University of Colorado student favorite, the restaurant atmosphere is unique, plus, CU dropout Robert Redford was once the janitor. Neat.
3 Dark Horse
Where: 2922 Baseline Road, Boulder; 303-442-8162
Hours: Food served from 11 a.m.-11 p.m.
The Dark Horse’s burger prices are unbeatable.
They know how to feed you starving students. In fact, get the “Starving Student Meal” — a burger, fries and a beer for only $5.40, with tax. Beat that.
Eating in the restaurant is entertaining, as it houses the most eclectic environment in Boulder.
Check out the Jiffy Burger, too, with peanut butter, bacon and provolone cheese. Um. Yum?

Larkburger is a fast spot to get a gourmet Black Angus beef burger with hand-cut fries.
The eatery uses 100-percent natural ingredients, make all sauces and dressings in-house and hand forms the patties that are cooked to order.
Try the Truffle Burger, cooked with truffle aioli.
Plus, order a sandwich and get the Student Special — a free fountain drink.
5 Rueben’s Burger Bistro
Where: 1800 N. Broadway, Boulder; 303-443-5000
Hours: Food served from 11:30 a.m.-10 p.m. Sunday-Wednesday; 11:30 a.m.-close Thursday-Saturday
This European-style burger bistro took its favorite things about France and Belgium, threw burgers in the mix and turned into a very unique bistro in Boulder.
The half-pound, all-natural burgers are served on a signature pretzel bun (or cracked wheat or gluten free) and have 15 different combinations.
Try Vuelta, which is a burger stuffed with mozzarella and pancetta, ponzu aioli, crisp onion rings and butter lettuce.
