The University of Colorado has installed 370 new solar panels over the last month, adding to the university`s long-term sustainability goals.

The panels were placed on the roof of the Center for Innovation and Creativity, where they will produce enough energy each year to power 20 medium-sized homes.

The building is now 10 percent solar-powered after the recent installation.

Solar panels are also found on several other campus buildings, including the Coors Events Center, the Housing System Maintenance Center and the Wolf Law Building. Plans to install panels on the Williams Village North residence hall by the end of the year would increase solar generated power on campus to 336 kilowatts.
