Three programs at the University of Colorado were ranked among the top in the country in the recently released 2011 Fiske Guide to Colleges.

CU’s environmental studies program received special mention in the top 10 environmental studies schools in the nation, according to a news release from the university.

The university’s disabilities services were cited as “particularly strong” and the music program was ranked in the top 25 “major universities strong in music.”

Other university programs — physics, psychology, geography, aerospace engineering, biology and integrative physiology — also received high marks.

CU received a cumulative ranking of 12 out of 15 for academics, social life and quality of life.
