Friday is 11/11/11.

This day has been unofficially tagged “Nigel Tufnel Day.”

Nigel, played by Christopher Guest, is the lead guitarist of fictional rock band Spinal Tap in the 1984 mockumentary, “This Is Spinal Tap.”

Tufnel is known for his desire to crank the amps to 11 — “one louder” than 10.

Hence, 11/11/11 = Nigel Tufnel Day.

I lost you at “Friday.” Let’s discuss a party.

Yelp — that website where we berate local businesses — is turning it up to 11 on Friday with Yelpapalooza 3.5.

There will be performances by Denver bands Petals of Spain, Take to the Oars, The Don’ts and Be Carefuls, along with DJ Savior Breath spinning throughout the eve.

The shindig will be at Stoney’s, 1111 Lincoln St., Denver. (1111 Lincoln Street on 11/11/11. Neat.)

There will be eats and drinks from various vendors, a photo booth, psychic readings, caricatures, manicures, hair styling, screen printing and more.

You must RSVP or they won’t let you in.

Info: Friday 8-10 p.m.;; 303-830-6839; free with a suggested $5 donation.

Here we go a-lumbering

You like wood. Your boyfriend told me last night.

At least looking like an idiot never grows old. Saturday is the third-annual ALL JACKED UP: Colorado’s Largest Lumberjack Party at the Ginn Mill, 2041 Larimer St., Denver at 9 p.m.

(Déj vu? It seems those drunk beards roam downtown frequently. Nah. It’s just the DTs.)

Lumberdrunk it up with a flannel, suspenders and a (fake) axe. Bonus — you’re close to a full beard with that stupid Movember mustache.

There will be drink specials, lumberjack shots, a raffle, a costume contest and a vodka luge. (Sold!) A portion of the bar tab will go to Dumb Friends League.

Info: Saturday at 9 p.m.;; free.

Sorry, Ikea. Trumped, I say!

Today is the grand opening of H&M at the Denver Pavillions, 500 16th St., Denver. (Forever 21, condolences. Get back to the sewing room, bitch.)

To celebrate, the Denver Art Museum will present the Yves Saint Laurent Cut ‘n’ Sew Challenge from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. today at the Pavillions.

The challenge — hosted by Denver’s Fallene Wells, a designer on season nine of “Project Runway”) — will have four designers create Yves Saint Laurent-inspired styles on site with a $100 budget .

And look, there’s a Buff in the house: The founder of the CU’s Fashion Design Student Association (and CU alum), Rachel Marie Hurst, will be one of the competitors. Hurst, now behind the Fashion House of Rae Marie, brought a fashion voice to Boulder in 2005 by spearheading the student organization that continues to flourish.

Hello? Did you hear me? H&M is open!

Info: Today 10 a.m.-2 p.m.;; 303-260-6001; free.
