The University of Colorado’s men’s rugby team fell to Life University in the quarterfinals of the USA Rugby Sevens collegiate national championships over the weekend in College Station, Texas.

The Buffs played a dramatic tournament, losing their first game, to Texas A&M, then winning against Virginia and ultimately winning their game against Miami (Ohio) after going into halftime behind 17-5.

In the quarterfinals, the Buffs lost to Life 25-7; Life went on to win the tournament.

The Buffs played two more games at the tournament. They beat Cal-Poly 15-14 and lost to St. Mary’s of California, 29-7.
