CHIC WAY TO GENERATE HEAT Red carpets at the Sundance Film Festival are a little different. Park City, Utah, in January is too cold and snowy for the usual thin dresses, cut down to there and slit up to here. Instead parkas, scarves and knit hats rule.
The festival’s most stylish set _ and we’re counting Kate Bosworth, Lake Bell and Rashida Jones among them _ have braved the weather wearing long-sleeved minis over tights, casual ponchos, skinny jeans and boots.
Jones showed how to dress stylishly for a party last weekend at a dinner for the cast of her screenwriting debut “Celeste and Jesse Forever,” a romantic comedy starring Emma Roberts and Elijah Wood. It was a star-studded evening on Main Street, with guests including Jones’ parents Quincy Jones and Peggy Lipton; Andy Samberg, Chris Messina and film director Lee Toland Krieger. Jones shone in a textured black Olivier Theyskens for Theory dress and chunky gold jewelry by Lia Sophia. She kept warm under a cropped tuxedo blazer, ribbed tights and combat boots.
