In this summer’s Downtown Boulder Running Series, all three of the races will be held downtown.

In the past, the series included a race on the Hill, said Barry Siff, of series organizer 5430 Sports. The big change this year, Siff said, is the addition of the new East End race.

“We dropped the Uni Hill 2K and added the East End 2K for the third race,” Siff said. “So it is a new, in quotes, downtown running series, but it’s still three races.”

The East End 2K course runs on Pearl Street between 20th and 15th streets, or to the edge of the walking mall. The race is scheduled for Aug. 30. The other races in the series, the West End 3K and the Pearl Street Mile, take place on July 19 and Aug. 9, respectively.
