CU Program Council announced today that rapper Schoolboy Q will co-headline this year’s homecoming concert on Nov. 1 in the Glenn Miller Ballroom.

Yes, that’s co-headlining. But the other co-headliner hasn’t been announced yet. Feel free to speculate about big-name rappers — Program Council said the suprise rapper has been featured in Spin, Rolling Stone and Pitchfork.

Schoolboy Q is one of the standout members of the Black Hippy collective, which counts Kendrick Lamar among its ranks, and his collaboration with A$AP Rocky, “Hands On the Wheel,” was a pretty big hit. Schoolboy’s latest record, Habits & Contradictions, got rave reviews from critics and fans when it was released early this year.

Opening the homecoming show is local electronic-trap producer Be Good, who just played a sold out show at Club 156.

Tickets go on sale Thursday at 10 a.m., through, and are $3 with a student I.D. At the door, student tickets will be $5, and tickets for the public will cost $10. Doors open at 8:30 and the music gets going right away.
