The University of Colorado-Boulder triathlon team won its fourth straight national title on Saturday in Tempe, Ariz., at the USA Triathlon Collegiate National Championships.


The Buffs scored 3,926 points, defeating second-place team California by two points. Three CU men finished in the top eight, helping the Buffs also win the men’s team title.

Colorado’s Michelle Mehnert took first in the women’s Olympic-distance race (2:01:13) and helped the Buffs women’s team to a second-place finish.
