T ake a break from graduation cake this weekend, and frolic at some of these events.

All weekend

The third Superior Morgul Classic bike race kicks off Friday night with a time trial. Races start at 3:45 p.m. and run well into the evening. The time trial starts at the intersection of McCaslin Blvd. and Rock Creek Pkwy and ends at the intersection of highways 128 and 93.

The three-day race continues Saturday all day with a criterium and Sunday with the Morgul Bismark road race.

Saturday

The Ride for the Pass charity bike race benefits the work of the Independence Pass Foundation. The ride starts from the winter gate and ends approximately 10 miles east, on Highway 82 along the pass. The ride gains 2,500 feet of elevation across 9.5 miles.

The ride takes place the Saturday before the road opens to vehicles, so the best part is … no cars.

Race starts at 10 a.m. and you can register at the starting line.
