The Boulder County Coroner’s office is investigating the discovery of human bones in an unincorporated area near Lafayette, along with the State Archaeologist’s Office

The Boulder County Coroner’s Office has identified human remains found in an open area near 282 Twin Sisters Road in Nederland as Marcos Torres-Zamarron, 23, of Denver.

Torres-Zamarron’s remains were found by a person working on a nearby property. The preliminary investigation at the scene confirmed the remains were human.

Torres-Zamarron’s death is under investigation by the coroner’s office. An examination has been completed and the cause and manner of death are pending.
