Boulder Falls is set to close next month for trail-related repairs and will not reopen until Sept 6, weather permitting.

The closure, which could come as early as July 8, is to accommodate repairs in several sections, including rail installation, stair construction and fence installation. The railing will run the length of the trail, according to a news release from the city.

The popular destination west of Boulder also was closed for nearly five years following the September 2013 flood for repairs, though repairs were not ongoing for that entire period.
