The Colorado State Patrol has identified the possible vehicle in a Boulder hit-and-run that seriously injured a cyclist on Arapahoe Road earlier this month.
Andrew “Bernie” Bernstein, 34, was biking west on the right shoulder of Arapahoe Road near Legion Park between 4:30 and 5 p.m. July 20 when he was hit from behind by a vehicle.
Bernstein, who was riding alone, was found by a passerby and transported to a Boulder hospital. He was then airlifted to Denver with life-threatening injuries, including internal bleeding and numerous fractures.

Parts of the vehicle left behind at the scene led investigators to believe the vehicle that hit Bernstein was a Ram van.
In a release on Wednesday, the Colorado State Patrol said investigators were able to narrow the description to a third-generation Dodge Ram Van 2500 or 3500 built between 1994 and 2000.
Investigators also were able to obtain photos of the possible suspect vehicle, which is white or light grey and has windows on the passenger-side door but not on the driver’s side panel.
The van also likely has damage to the front passenger side.
Anyone with information about this case is asked to call the Colorado State Patrol at 303-239-4501 and ask to speak to Trooper Emery about case No. 1D192958.
