It was only a matter of time before The String Cheese Incident, the 26-year-old, Colorado-bred jam band, would announce a multi-night run at Denver’s new Mission Ballroom. That came this week with details of the Nov. 29-30 concerts, which are on sale in limited quantities now, following a registered pre-sale. Good luck, fans. ($60-$89.50,

Brockhampton is already big, drawing thousands to its shows across the country. But the Texas hip-hop collective is poised for arena-level stardom, considering the circles it runs in these days (see the new Harry Styles profile in Rolling Stone). One thing that’s for sure: You’ll not likely to see it at a venue the size of Mission Ballroom again in Denver. Tickets for the act’s Dec. 9 concert there, with opener Slowthai, are on sale now. Denver’s High Plains Comedy Festival, which moved from August to September this year, had already announced killer headliners such as Maria Bamford and Aparna Nancherla. But this week we got a glimpse of the 50-plus locals performing at the Sept. 26-28, multi-venue event, its seventh overall. Local headliners, showcase hosts and Comedy Works regulars include Katie Bowman, Christie Buchele, Janae Burris, Byron Graham, Nathan Lund, Zac Maas, Andie Main, Miriam Moreno, Nancy Norton, John Novosad, ShaNae Ross, Sam Tallent, Aaron Urist and Elliot Woolsey, just to name a few.
