Officials have reopened the Koelbel Building at the University of Colorado Boulder after a nearby gas leak was contained.
CU Boulder sent out a bulletin at 10:50 a.m. indicating construction crews in the area cut a gas line at a site between the Koelbel Building and the Engineering Center off of Regent Drive on campus.

The Koelbel Building was evacuated and closed. Xcel Energy crews responded to the scene, and the building was closed for about an hour and 30 minutes.
At 12:30 p.m., officials announced the leak was contained and the building was reopened. All classes scheduled to begin at or after 1 p.m. in Koelbel would go on as scheduled.
Update as of 12:30 p.m.: The gas leak has been contained and Koelbel Building is cleared for re-entry. Classes in Koelbel scheduled to begin at or after 1 p.m. will go on as scheduled.
