Boulder’s Flagstaff Star will be lit on Friday.
PUBLISHED: | UPDATED:

The Boulder Chamber will be kicking off the holiday season with its annual lighting of the Boulder Star on Flagstaff Mountain on Nov. 11.

The Boulder Star Lighting Festival coincides with Veterans Day, so there will be a color guard ceremony featuring University of Colorado Boulder veterans, honoring those who have served.

The event is slated for 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Nov. 11 at the University of Colorado CASE building, 1725 Euclid Ave. There will be light refreshments offered in a family-friendly atmosphere, according to a news release.

The Boulder Star on Flagstaff Mountain was first lit in December 1947 and has made its holiday appearance every year since.
