Boulder Public Works employee Travis Eiselstein instals bicycle lane and speed limit signs on Sept. 27.

Boulder Planning Board on Thursday said “20 is plenty” for residential speed limits.

The board unanimously voted to recommend City Council examine a 20 mph speed limit in more areas of Boulder, particularly residential streets.

Support for the movement has grown in recent months, especially since a 10-year-old girl walking between home and school was hit by a car in a south Boulder crosswalk in September.
