Boulder on Wednesday is holding an interactive training dubbed the “Game of Extremes” to help community members assess the impacts of a changing climate and develop strategies for action.
The city is holding the event, created by the Urban Sustainability Directors Network, as a way to learn of the issues in a low-pressure environment. The game will focus on changes related to flooding and extreme heat caused by climate change.
It will be from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the Boulder County Courthouse’s east wing, 2025 14th St.
Kristin Baja, director of resilience programs for the network, is facilitating the event.
Guests should register for the free event at bouldercolorado.gov/climate/game-of-extremes.
It will serve as part of the public engagement effort for the city’s creation of the Climate Mobilization Action Plan meant to address the changing climate through systemic overhauls.
