Colo. 119 in Boulder Canyon has been reopened at Magnolia Road after a weather-related rock slide closed one lane.
According to a text message alert from the Colorado Department of Transportation, all lanes were reopened at 7:26 p.m. The rock slide initially closed the road completely at 6:05 p.m., but crews were able to open a lane by 6:15 p.m.
CDOT is working on a blasting project in the area to move the road further onto bedrock so it will be more stable in the event of a future flood, but the department said this rock slide was related to weather, not the ongoing work in the canyon.
