There’s a light shining across the Front Range — several in fact — signifying the height of this holiday season. With December may come rising electricity bills, but it also brings inflatable lawn characters, LED displays and shining smiles.

For you, dear readers, we’ve taken countless treks across the Front Range this holiday season, equipped with cameras and notebooks, and found some of the most exciting, super extra and beautiful displays. Those interested in braving Colorado winter elements will be rewarded with bright lights burning strong with holiday cheer.

Whether in search of a subtle nativity scene or a glam display that channels TV’s “Great Christmas Light Fight,” bright showcases probably exist in a neighborhood near you. Here is a Front Range list of some stunning options to see, and enthusiasts can curate a perfect travel route to hit these spots with our handy “Front Range Holiday Lights 2019” Google map, embedded below.

Front Range neighborhood displays

Berthoud

402 Bunyan Ave. — This simple display has falling white lights hanging from the porch as well as multicolored foliage.

616 6th St. — This display frames the windows and gaps on the porch with shining white lights, features a Santa with his sled upon the roof and a large wreath on one of its walls.

606 5th St. — This display frames the doorways and windows in illuminating yellow light.

709 N. 4th St. — This simple display colors the tree with green, the porch and gutters with white strands of light, and shines a festive red spotlight on the doorway.

111 Common Dr. — This classic display features candy canes surrounding an LED tree, red and green framing lights as well as small figures of Santa and friends.

412 Nebraska Ave. — This multicolored display frames the home and garage in moving multicolored light and an illuminated nativity scene sits upon the lawn.

533 Wrangell Lane. — This red and white display frames the ranch-style home beautifully, and the figures of Santa in a helicopter and the Red M&M welcome those who pass.

633 Arches Court — This multicolored display uses large bulbs to frame the home in red, yellow, green, blue and pink.

811 8th St. — Multicolored lights decorate the bushes and Santa graces the yard of this display.

Boulder

445 S. 39th St. — Classic multicolored lights add a vintage flair to this home in Martin Acres, or maybe it’s the two classic Volkswagen Bugs that look as though they are part of the holiday vibe.

704 Mapleton Ave. — Basic multicolored lights and a lit-up wreath make this home simple and sweet.

720 Mapleton Ave. — Wondrous strands of white and gold lights hang from the ceiling to the floor, creating a curtain of illumination around the porch.

745 Mapleton Ave. — Pretty white lights perfectly frame the roof, two mini trees and two wreaths can also be found.

535 Mapleton Ave.— This stunning home features a perfect placement of red, white and green lights. The gigantic “Merry” and “Christmas” shiny red ball ornaments that can be found on the porch kick it up a notch.

2591 4th St. — White lights can be found on the roof and on the porch’s pillars creating a traditional look.

427 Pine St.— Trees, the roof and the porch’s front columns are all adorned with gleaming white lighting.

453 Pine St.— Glowing garland with ribbons decorates the upper porch.

522 Pine St. — Radiant paper bag lights lead the way to the front door of this home that is outfitted with lights, garland and red ribbons.

590 Pine St.— While some light strands can be found on the actual house, the real jaw-dropper is the towering tree decked out with a number of glowing multicolored lights.

Broomfield

1188 Clubhouse Drive — An elaborate display of the holidays includes an elevated train in the front yard, a four-house carousel on the driveway and a ferris wheel in the side yard, among other festive offerings.

4812 W. 123rd Place — This home is lit up in changing colors with arches across the driveway and mini Christmas trees on the lawn.

4872 W. 123rd Place —This display frames the home in white icicle lights and the trees and snowflakes sync to festive music.

4801 W. 123rd Place — This home has a classic look with white lights and illuminated life-sized sleigh and reindeer.

1005 West 11th Court — This display includes illuminated snowmen, a festive lit-up train on the lawn, the house framed in lights and features a bright wreath.

2755 W. 12th Ave. Place — This home features a lighted star atop its 50-foot pine tree, which is visible throughout the neighborhood

3110 Oak Circle North — This home is framed in multicolored lights and has various winter friends decorating the lawn.

155 Hemlock St. — This corner lot features thousands of lights with animated scenes and music. Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse in holiday attire are just some of the festive friends on the lawn.

Erie

1288 Washburn Ave. — Lights, garland and a fully decorated tree on the top floor’s balcony makes this an eye-catching display.

1349 Washburn St. — Glowing holiday ornament balls and multicolored lights dress up this home’s wrap-around porch. The upper stained-glass windows add to the colorful display.

1361 Washburn St. — With an island of misfit decorations in the front yard and life-sized elf mannequins that can be viewed standing around a Christmas tree in the upper window, this display is both campy and clever.

1369 Washburn St. — Icicle lights, garland and various shrubs all a’glow makes this property understated, but spirited.

1373 Washburn St. — Silver lighting brightens up the branches of two large trees that frame a home with a roof that is perfectly outlined by white lights.

1277 Saint John St.— With glowing snowflakes visible from windows and a porch transformed by garland, warm lights and a vintage wooded sled, this home looks like it’s straight out of a Hallmark movie.

1166 Saint John St. — With a simple inflatable Santa on the exterior and the classic leg lamp from the 1983 film “A Christmas Story” propped up in the window, this home keeps it bare bones, but incredibly fun.

1155 Saint John St., in Erie, offers cool blue lighting.

Lafayette

109 E Simpson St. — With a cozy-cottage feel, this bungalow looks even more inviting with a wreath hung on the door and lights wrapped around columns and the roof.

200 E Baseline Road — The Center for Musical Arts is in the holiday spirit with a display of multiple electronically lit trees that beam off and on.

204 E Baseline Road — The Complete Family Dentistry building’s exterior is truly a work of light art, as practically every square inch is covered, creating a magical aesthetic.

Louisville

1201 Lafarge Ave. — This Victorian charmer looks even more stunning with delicate lights wrapped around the porch’s roof.

1221 Lafarge Ave. — Beautiful gold and white lighting can be found on trees, the roof and the porch. Garland and ribbon-clad wreaths add to the overall look.

1233 Lafarge Ave.— Multicolored lights create a subtle glow.

1220 Grant St. — With a towering Christmas tree visible from a window, to the roofs perfectly outlined with large white string lights, this abode has a timeless feel.

1245 Grant St. — Less is more with this modestly lit home.

Superior

1605 S. Elbert Court — Multicolored lights adorn this house and its trees, while a snowman keeps watch at the door and illuminated deer frolic in the lawn.

Frederick

825 Spruce Ct. — In this display, Santa and his giant candy canes take on the lawn alongside multicolored trees.

410 S Hawthorn St. — This simple illuminated Nativity scene showcases is accented by a white wreath on the door.

457 5th St.— Multicolored lights frame this ranch-style home, a Santa Polar Bear guards the door and three neon-style lights showcase a more humorous side of the holiday.

Greeley

903 4th St. — This simple display features several red candy canes.

921 4th St. — This home has illuminated stars, reindeer and penguins, as well as multicolored trees and falling white gutter lights.

Johnstown

258 Alder Ave. — This display has a white illuminated tree, green projected lights, snowflakes and a bow, as well as a multicolored bush.

246 Alder Ave. — This monochrome display lights the home and tree in beautiful white.

222 Alder Ave. — This display includes projections of multicolored lights falling on a large inflatable penguin.

160 Alder Ave. — Multicolored and white lights come together at this home.

159 Alder Ave. — This elaborate display, that is visible from outside of the neighborhood, illuminates its large tree in rainbow lights, features a number of large inflatable characters, a Coke machine, a “North Pole” and a large wreath.

333 Basswood Ave. — This display may be light on lights, but not on fun. It features several reindeer and a train decorating the front yard.

322 Basswood Ave. — This simple display features classic white lights on the home and porch and an inflatable penguin.

3022 Woodbine Lane — The “Grinch Who Stole Christmas” is at this house, and is in the process of finishing the job by stealing its lights from above the garage.

332 Alder Ave. — This tasteful display includes multicolored lights on the tree and home as well as small, red candy canes on the lawn.

250 Buckeye Ave. — This display includes several inflatable snowmen and a penguin friend with an illuminated bell and multicolored lights.

242 Basswood Ave. — Santa rides a tractor in front of this home and its multicolored lights, with the help of a penguin and a Mrs. Claus inflatable.

223 Basswood Ave. — This simple display includes red and white porch lights, multicolored trees and an illuminated reindeer.

241 Basswood Ave. — This display features two inflatable Santas, a polar bear, a Christmas tree, an illuminated star and multicolored lights.

224 Basswood Ave. — This elaborate display includes a large North Star on the roof, multicolored lights on the trees and house, a large inflatable Santa and projected snowflakes.

Longmont

1809 Coffman St. — With red lights outlining the porch, along with a wreath and modest tree a’glow, this home presents a certain understated elegance.

1000 Katy Lane — Already a bright shade of red for the holidays, this home dazzles with Mickey Mouse lights, a glowing Santa and numerous poinsettias.

875 Neon Forest Circle — White lights dress up the upper- and lower-level porches, as well as oversized red ribbons for a classic look.

921 Neon Forest Circle — With large multicolored lights and garland, this display is both festive and fun.

1001 Neon Forest Circle — Once again the infamous red and green inflatable dragon has made an appearance. Changing blue and red hologram lights and a column wrapped with a gleaming strand complete this look.

1007 Neon Forest Circle — Simple multicolored lights and larger-than-life snowflake holograms make this property dazzle.

1023 Neon Forest Circle — Much like the modern feel of this dwelling’s architecture, blue lights wrap around trees to create a cool mood.

1035 Neon Forest Circle — A similar theme continues with red and blue lights wrapped around tree trucks, while a single strand of gold lights connects the two.

898 Tenacity Drive — Icicle lights and several lovely wreaths that hang from ribbon creates a classic feel.

1936 Creekside Dr., in Longmont, brings cheer with an oversized ‘JOY’ sign.

1936 Creekside Drive — Modest electronic candles create a warm glow in this home’s windows, but the real showstopper comes in the form of a giant light display on the lawn that spells out “Joy.”

2053 Summit View Drive — Icicle lights illuminate this home, while red candle-like lights frame the lawn.

1744 Spencer St. — Blue snowflake holograms are projected on the garage, while oversized multicolored Christmas lights lead the way to the front door where visitors will find glowing candy canes, ribbons and a snowman.

2058 Sumac St. — Gorgeous icicle lights, an inflatable snowman in a Santa hat and other characters complete this charming display.

1603 18th Ave. — Beautifully projected specks of green and red — almost reminiscent of sparkling snow — adorn the home’s exterior, as well as a lit-up wreath and multicolored strands.

1850 Sumner St. — This beaut has an enchanted forest vibe with various electronically lit trees, a glowing nativity star, “Let it Snow” signage and more.

8 Lincoln Place — As always, this spectacular sight continues to exceed expectations year after year. Meant for visitors to venture out of their cars and interact with a variety of displays, the details found within this carnival-esque offering are sure to impress. See Snoopy, Precious Moments dolls, giant Nutcracker soldiers and, of course, Santa and his reindeer on the illuminated roof.

210 Lincoln St. — Glowing peppermint candies, snowmen and pink flamingos donning Santa hats, among many other sparkling sights, can all be found in this abundance of holiday cheer.

1744 Tulip St. — Lights and garland dress this abode, but the real stars can be found in the multiple inflatable blowups of Santa in his sleigh, a polar bear, a penguin, a Christmas pup and, of course, reindeer.

2461 Mapleton Circle — Every inch of this lawn is filled with lights, decor and holiday cheer. Among the blowups, visitors will find Olaf, the beloved snowman from “Frozen.”

1528 Hilltop Drive — This house wows with plenty of lights and home-made cut outs. If you look closely, you’ll find Santa waving out of the top bedroom window. There is also a mail box to drop off letters to Santa.

Loveland

847 W. 5th St. — This bright display at a duplex features several strands of multicolored lights, an illuminated snowman and an LED present on the door, as well as a small reindeer on the path.

919 8th St. — This simple display showcases bright, moving strands of hanging lights along the home’s gutters.

1101 Loch Mt. Drive — Enjoy multicolored trees, yellow bushes and white pathways at this home display.

1212 Loch Mt. Drive  — Multicolored lights illuminate a tree, create an icicle effect over the garage and showcase a wreath on this home display.

1978 Buena Vista Place — Santa lands on the roof of this home via plane, as Snoopy guards a tree, several penguins dance on the lawn, snowman stand near a second tree and birds wish visitors a Merry Christmas, all under the glow of red and green lights as reindeer guard the path.

1815 Georgetown Court — Shining white moving lights frame the gutters of this home display, multicolored lights frame the bushes and two LED trees hover above multicolored lit presents.

3942 Conifer Drive — Catch sights of Santa, a giant snowman and an inflatable Nativity scene under the watch of an illuminated wreath at this home display.

1829 Ranae Place — This elaborate display includes a shining North Star and wreath, large red and green trees, a tree made solely of lights, the word “Joy” is displayed on the roof and inflatable figures, such as the Nutcracker and a winter dog, all shine with beautiful lights around them.

847 Namaqua Ave. — This large display on a rolling estate includes several illuminated Nutcrackers, many lit-up trees, stars, snowflakes and more, set to the tune of some classic Christmas carols.

1591 Carol Drive — Green lights project upon the garage and the fence has lovely garland, while a large illuminated angel and reindeer work to set aside this display.

1668 Carol Drive— This elaborate display includes many illuminated Nutcrackers and candy canes, multicolored lights and foliage and a large illuminated Santa.

4040 Georgetown Drive —  This winter wonderland features a variety of lit-up creatures. Explore a display of penguins, polar bears, a festive dinosaur and Santa Claus to watch over them.

11160 Longview Blvd. — This home features a festive display of lights.

2199 Steppe Drive — This elaborate display resembles a gingerbread house with its multicolored lights framing the house, candy canes dotting the lawn alongside various festive winter creatures with Santa.

Mead

Dillingham Ave. — Two neighboring houses at this intersection feature framing lights, candy canes, angels, reindeer and much more.

Niwot

6675 N. 79th St. — This spacious ranch property comes alive with an array of holiday blowups, reindeers, electronically lit trees and more.

7911 W. Sussex Court — The towering tree, wrapped with several strands of multicolored lights, is a must-see.

7915 Niwot Road — Niwot Real Estate Inc. is feeling festive with an oversized wreath, icicle lights and a large statue of old St. Nick carrying a bag full of toys. It’s Only Natural Gifts, also located at this address, will wow folks with a larger-than-life electronic holiday candle that features dripping gold wax.

Timnath

4241 Main St. — This simple light display on the Main Street of Timnath welcomes drivers to the town with a lovely string of white lights on the fence in a ruffled pattern.

4304 Dixon St. — This display has several small penguins and tree lights, multicolored framing lights and illuminated snowflakes.

4124 Main St. — This two-story residence has large-bulb yellow lights, garland on the pillars and a string of white lights framing the porch.

3677 Main St. — This simple display frames the cottage-style home with white lights, illuminating an American flag on display.

3660 Dixon St. — The backyard alley area of this home is fully decorated with illuminated icicles, multicolored lights, trees, candy canes and more.

Watts St. — These three houses feature multicolored lights on trees and frames, lovely snowflakes and wreaths, as well as small candy canes.

Windsor

6002 Clarance Drive — This simple display has red lights on the home and tree, white lights on the porch and an illuminated gingerbread house in the yard.

Carmon Drive — This street has five decorated houses, one in pure white on the home and tree, several with multicolored lights, as well as snowflakes, a “Joy” sign and more.

Atna Drive — This street has three displays, the first of which is incredibly elaborate and motion-activated with candy canes, multicolored lights to frame the home and fence, several lit trees and more. The second features an illuminated Nativity, green and red trees, and multicolored lights, and the third features multicolored lights.

35496 CR17 — This huge display sprawls several acres on CR17 with dozens of illuminated trees, candy canes and more.

WinterFest Lighting Ceremony

Denver Botanic Gardens Blossom of Lights

When: 5-9 p.m. through Jan. 3 (includes Dec. 24, 25 and 31)

A Hudson Christmas
