Liquor licensing law in Boulder was slightly tweaked Tuesday.

City Council gave initial approval to Beverage Licensing Authority rule changes, with the most notable among them impacting server training requirements and the scheduling of some license application hearings.

The state approved training that liquor licensees must put their employees through must be done within two months of instead of three months from license approval, under the new regulation.

Also, certain license applications, for applicants that do not require neighborhood petitioning, will be able to appear before the authority sooner than 30 days before their application dates.
